Medication Management

Allison has extensive experience working with individuals facing a variety of psychiatric conditions, including mood disorders, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, eating disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and substance use disorders. Allison attempts to reduce the number of medications a person takes by taking advantage of known medication side effects. Her clinical vision is to ensure that her office atmosphere is safe for clients and their families to experience their vulnerabilities while sharing their stories.

Therapy

Allison integrates cognitive, behavioral, and interpersonal psychotherapy interventions into her psychiatric care as part of comprehensive medication management. When clinically appropriate, she incorporates evidence-based approaches such as Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) to address obsessive-compulsive disorder.

Allison is also EMDRIA-trained and may integrate Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) into treatment alongside medication management. EMDR is a structured, evidence-based therapy that involves briefly focusing on distressing memories while engaging in bilateral stimulation (such as eye movements, tapping, or vibrations) to support adaptive processing.
